FAQ
Welcome to the Darino Travel community! Below are answers to our most frequently asked questions about getting started, submitting commissions, accessing training, and growing your business.
For Travelers
What does a Darino Travel Advisor do?
We plan amazing vacations so you don’t have to stress about the details. Our advisors find the right cruise cabin, book those hard-to-get dinner reservations, and handle all the moving parts of your trip. When something goes sideways, you’ll have a real person to call who knows your trip inside and out.
What can I book through Darino Travel?
Pretty much anything vacation-related. Our bread and butter is cruises. We work with Disney, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and tons more. We also book beach resorts, family trips to Europe, honeymoons, and even simple weekend getaways. If it involves a suitcase, we can help.
Why book with a Darino Travel Advisor instead of online?
Two big reasons: time and perks. We save you hours of comparing websites and reading reviews. Plus, we often get you extras like room upgrades, onboard credits, or free breakfast that you can’t get booking yourself. And if your flight gets canceled at midnight? You’ve got someone to call.
How much extra does using an advisor cost?
Usually nothing! Hotels and cruise lines pay us, not you. Your price stays the same as if you booked direct, but you get all our help for free. For super complicated trips, some advisors charge a planning fee, but they’ll tell you that upfront.
But I like researching my own trips...
Go for it! Send us what you’ve found, and we’ll book it for you. You’ll still get our perks and support. Many clients enjoy the dreaming part but hate dealing with payments and logistics. We’re happy to team up however works best.
Can you handle group trips?
They’re actually our specialty. We keep track of who’s paid what, make sure everyone gets rooms near each other, and often negotiate better group rates. No more chasing down your friends for payments or trying to coordinate 10 different preferences.
For Future Advisors
What exactly is a Darino Travel Advisor?
You’re running your own travel business with us backing you up. Call yourself a travel advisor or travel agent – both work! You build relationships with clients and plan awesome trips while we handle the boring stuff like chasing down commissions.
How do I make money?
You earn commissions on everything you book. We split 80/20, meaning you keep 80% of what comes in. That’s higher than most agencies offer. We collect the payments from suppliers and pay you directly through Veem, so no awkward billing or waiting forever to get paid.
Do I need travel industry experience?
Nope! Many of our most successful advisors started from scratch. What matters more is being organized and loving to help people. If you’re the friend everyone asks for travel advice, you’ll probably be great at this.
I'm already a travel agent. Why switch?
Our advisors who came from other agencies love our higher commission split, the fact that we don’t push recruitment schemes, and our straightforward payment system. Plus our tech actually works, which is sadly rare in this industry.
What happens after I sign up?
You’ll get access to our booking system, supplier links, and training videos. Submit your W-9 form so we can pay you, and you can start booking right away. Most people make their first booking while still going through training.
Can I do this part-time?
Most of our advisors start that way! We don’t care if you book one trip a month or fifty. Build at whatever pace fits your life.
Do I have to hit sales targets?
Nope. No minimums, no quotas, no pressure. Some months might be busy, others quiet. It’s your business to run how you want.
What's the cost to join?
Just $95 a year. That’s it. No hidden fees, no escalating costs. This covers access to our supplier network, booking tools, commission tracking, and advisor support team.
How do I sign up?
Click “Become an Advisor,” fill out a simple form, pay the $95, and you’re in. We’ll walk you through everything else step by step.
About Us
How does Darino make money?
We keep 20% of commissions and collect the $95 annual advisor fee. Pretty simple!
Why charge advisors at all?
The $95 covers our operating costs and keeps us from having to take a bigger cut of your commissions. Many agencies offering “free” signup take 40-50% of what you earn, which adds up to a lot more than $95.
What makes Darino different from other agencies?
We don’t recruit like crazy just to collect fees. We don’t force you into a pyramid scheme where you have to sign up friends. We just offer better commission splits, no sales pressure, and technology that actually makes your job easier.
